FinnEKVIT
FinnEKVIT is an officially registered Finnish non-profit association, established in 1994. It is also registered to carry out business activities with Trade Register Number LY-1551257-8. The number of members is kept purposefully low, only up to 12, of whom about half participate in the planning, guiding and implementation of projects in a given year of activities.
The principle objective of FinnEKVIT is to stimulate and initiate research on European cultural and media policies. For this purpose, it organises research consortia, supports the dissemination of research results and encourages Finnish participation in pertinent European development and training programmes and projects. It is, through its members, linked to several European research, information, documentation and training networks operating in the fields of the arts, culture and the media.
